When John was five or six years old he wanted a Rough Collie. It wasn't until he was in his late teens that his parents finally allowed him to have one. In 1976 he bought 'Lass' from a local kennels.

In 1985 we got married and lived in Hampshire. Before Lass passed away we saw a litter of puppies advertised in the local paper. We went to see them and, of course, came home with one. The breeder was Doris Mortiboy of the Silvermoor kennels and his name was Silvermoor's Countryman. We took 'Silver' to a local exemption show where he won Best Rough Collie and from that moment we were hooked.

We soon realised that we needed a property that was more isolated so in 1991 we bought a farmhouse in Lincolnshire with an acre of land.

We have been showing Rough Collies in excess of 20 years. Following are photographs of some of the dogs we have had the pleasure to own....

In 2001 we went to see one of Gee McEntee's stud dogs and fell in love with a gorgeous sable & white bitch we saw there. Gee agreed to us having her so we bought her home and she became the start of our sable line. She also became our first Champion winning the following CC's..

Sherrie had her first litter in 2002 to Emryks Look Again and we kept a sable & white bitch called Redola Cherish the Dream who was successful in the showring gaining her Stud Book Number.

Cassie herself produced a lovely litter to Amalie Mild Affair in 2004 from which we kept a sable dog called Redola Wild Affair and a sable bitch Redola Kiss N Cherish [Stacey. Both have been successful in the show ring, Stacey winning the Bitch CC and Best of Breed at Belfast in 2007 under Jill Oliver [Rixown].
