Our love affair with Rough Collies started in 1988, when we acquired our first pup, a lovely Sable bitch that we called Forsty. She was a pet - with no interest from her in showing - for nearly 14 years. We never bought her a companion, which we fell was a huge mistake.

After a period of mourning and heart-searching, we bought our current bitch Pepper from Angela Harvey in January 2003. Pepper has a wonderful temperament, and is a wonderfully marked Blue Merle. She hasn't had the success in the showring that we feels she deserves, but she really enjoys showing herself off.

WICANI MAY'D OF DREAMS - [Pepper] - VIEW PEDIGREE

In February 2004, we registered the Affix "Maysinder", with the intent of starting to breed. In August 2004, Pepper produced a litter of three of the most gorgeous pups.

From Left to Right [aged 6 weeks]

Maysinder Pride of Athens [Silver]

Maysinder Triathlon Man [Berkley]

Maysinder Olympic Flame [Tia]

We kept Silver from that litter. He has has moderate success in the showring. His best qualifying him for Crufts 2006. He is still only just 18 months old, and doesn't yet have his adult coat, but he turns heads wherever he goes. He has the most clear, piercing eyes and a face that would melt even the hardest heart! Already he has attracted enquiries from breeders who want ot use him in the not-too-distant future.

We intend to remain a small concern, increasing our numbers gradually over the next few years to approximately 10 or 12. We are hoping to start achieving more success in the showring, and who knows, produce one or more champions. Our current intention is to breed Blue Merles and Tricolours, but we may also produce sables in the future.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the people who sent us their best wishes after Mary's total knee replacement. We just want to tell everybody she is home, and doing very well. We hope to see everybody back around the showring early in the New Year.

Mary's recovery is remarkable considering that only a few hours after her operation, the spinal anaesthetic caused her blood pressure to drop to a dangerously low level, and inevitably, she went into cardiac arrest. The wonderful staff brought her back very quickly, and apart from a few bruised ribs, there's been no damage. To use Mary's words "The brain damage is no worse than it was BEFORE this happened!".
