Our first
Rough Collie was a tricolour called Sheena, bought in 1976
as a pet.
In 1978
we had the opportunity to purchase Rickwood Bobby Socks from
the Lawsons, a natural in the ring and a winner of many BOB's
continuing through to veteran classes at Open and Club show level.
Reah was mated to Jeffield Esquire and gave us our next bitch
a
tricolour.

In 1989
we purchased a tricolour from the Evad kennels, she was a daughter
of the lovely Ch Matai Don Quixote, not shown extensively she
was mated in 1993 to Ch Abbeywater Faberge and from this litter we
kep a dog Magenta Mastermind, who by the age of two had collected
2
C.C's, his first with BOB from Mrs D Clarke [Lynway] aged just 12
months. A year later he gained a 2nd CC from Mrs P Parry.
He was my
heartache dog as he then decided he didn't like showing so he retired
to the sofa.

In 2000
we purchased Samhaven Suncharm over Magenta from Alison Grainger
who charms everyone she meets.

She had two litters firstly to Mastermind and we kept Magenta
Marmalade and Magenta Mysteria.

second litter to Ch Lynmead Simply in my Soul,produced Magenta Simply
Charmed and
Magenta Simply Wicked at Yslann 2 CC's owned by Sylvie Bradshaw.

Ted
gained his first CC aged 12 months from Mrs E Robinson [Claredawn],
and his second a year later from D. Weller [Evad].
Our two
new hopefull's both dogs are from Magenta Simply Charmed
by Lynmead Love Me Do with Mertrisa, born 17/8/08. Their sister
Magenta Summer
Charm
will hopefully be shown too.
We rarely
breed, doing so only when we want a puppy ourselves.

ROUGH COLLIE OF THE YEAR 2010. JANUARY 30TH
Our precocious young man Dexter, aged 17 months , not only
won British Collie Club Junior of the Year he also is the
first Junior to do the double and win British Collie Rough
Collie of the Year in quality company.
