Lekoy Collies are a tiny family of Roughs living down here in glorious Devon. All the dogs live in the house as my surrogate children. I fell in love with the breed in 1972 but bought my first 10 years later when Lucy came home in 1982. Through her breeder I came into contact with the show side of dogs and since then have had moderate success in the ring and made some very special friends.I have gained five Junior Warrants with Lekoy Mischief Maiden, L. Country Maiden, L. Son of Snoopy, L. Maiden of Dreams and L. Marbles Maiden All my dogs enjoy the show ring and my first picture is of Lekoy Maiden of Dreams [8 and a half] on the day she won Veteran Bitch under Jean Lanning at the West of England Championship Show September 2004.

Lekoy Maiden of Dreams

Dream's daughter by Champion Samhaven Addiction,
Lekoy Marbles Maiden,
has had many victories including my greatest success so far,
a never-to-be forgotten Reserve Challenge Certificate at Crufts in 2001.

Marbles continues her winning ways with Reserve Best in Show South-West Working and Pastoral Breeds Open Show at the age of six under Joan Fryer-Clarke and Frank Kane. She has also achieved her Show Certificate of Merit, the first bitch in the West Country to do so.

Her sister Lekoy Wecho of Mischief, owned by my good friend and part-time "kennel maid" Barbara Greenstreet has enjoyed moderate success too with two firsts under Jimmy Tait at the WECS Championship Show and Best Bitch under Pixie Simmons at the WECS Open show.

I am pleased to say that Lekoy Collies have superb temperaments and make wonderful family pets. Two such are pictured below.
Sam and Blaze - relaxing in their garden near Chard

Their brother Major lives at home and is the constant companion of my Father

I breed only rarely but have had some lovely puppies. One such is pictured below - Lekoy Pickled Pepper. He was sold to pet owners who thankfully allow me to show him occasionally. On his first Open Show outing he gained two firsts and then at Paignton and Windsor Championship Shows he gained four firsts under Aileen Speding and Andrew Brace. He continued his winning ways with a second at Crufts in 2004 and I look forward to showing him when he matures.

Currently I have two puppies at home by Champion Amalie Deep in My Soul and my Samhaven Summer Melody for Lekoy. Watch out for Lekoy Lucy Too in the future.
