The Past.

My first collies was a "ROKEBY" in 1970, a granddaughter of "Ch Royal Ace of Rokeby". Sadly she lost her stop, but her sweet eye, her conformation and her lovely temperament gave me hope she would breed on. She was mated to "Ch Ramsey of Rokeby" but all the puppies were lost and she developed a pyometra. My second collie was "Westlynns Firecracker". Sally was a big bitch and lacked femininity but was a joy to live with. Her temperament was superb, and, both she and the ten 3 to 5 year olds I had in my home each day for playgroup, loved each other.

At that time I also had Shelties and had more success showing them but kept my collies as companions. When my first marriage folded in 1981 I was forced to rehome my dogs which broke my heart.

The Present.

My new husband of 24 years listened to my reminiscing and promised I should start again when our lifestyle allowed. Seven years ago I contacted Lisa Burtenshaw, whose dogs I had admired all those years ago when living in Surrey/Hants. I asked for a blue bitch for myself and sable bitch for my husband, It was 8 months before she had a nice blue for me but well worth the wait for our beautiful "Pelido Blue Willow from Kinneret", with an absolutely delightful temperament, and out cheeky "Pelido Georgie Girl from Kinneret".

Both shown successfully as puppies, [although Georgie girl was hard work], Blue Willow then retired to mature. She did come out at 4 years old and took the red card. She excels in colour, conformation and movement and her sweet expression can be seen in her photo. Georgie Girl was mated to Ch Pelido Italian Affair in 2004 and we currently show their son, "Kinneret Distant Dreams".
