Welcome to the Jaybid Kennel. We are a small select kennel where our dogs live as family.
Our lives in Rough Collies started back in 1984 when we both chose our first family pet. He was a tricolour dog called Jethro. Having had 4 small children l didn't start the show scene untill 1997 when one day on a trip to the park we came across an exemption show, that was it l got the bug.
Having had a few false starts along the way l knew what was expected in the ring.

l eventually bought a sable and white bitch from Gill Unstead's, Atendus Kennel called Atendus Maid to Share with Jaybid, (what a character) she loved every moment in the ring and did me proud. My proudest being the C.Ct and Best in Show at Northumberland andDurham Champ Show under judge Terry Mcgowan.

After that life was to deliver a challenge in itself. l was diagnosed with a life threatening illness which took me out of the show ring for 4 yrs. Through the darkest days the love of my family and my collies pulled me through
l returned in 2007 with a puppy dog called Jaybid Dreaam Lover ( Arnie) who like his grand mother has the same incredible character and has given me a lot of fun in the ring, winning many 1st placings, BPIB, BOB's and gaining his Junior Warrant and Stud Book No by 10mths of age.

It's a joy to be back doing what l love and have many exciting plans for the future with this wonderful breed.
