Like
so many others my life with Collies began with a pet Collie in 1985. This was a sable and white male by Damirayan Defender out of Tameila Corena and his call name was Shane. After he died in 1996 we purchased a sable bitch from Jean Palmer named Jedriana Shadow of Shane (Holly) [ she was by Yorvik Saxondon at Braefel ex Joslyns Queen at Jebern]. Although not being bought specifically for showing Holly grew a fabulous coat which she rarely cast and we ventured into the ring. She was placed at every show she ever attended and did me proud when in 1999 she was reserve best bitch at Driffield championship show in a decent entry. |

After seeing an advert in our local paper for blue merle puppies in
1997, I subsequently arrived at the home of Angela Price (now Harvey) Returning home with my first blue bitch, Wicani Satin Wribbons (Sophie). Sophie was by Ch Penpriory Playboy at Karava ex Jebern Silver Satin at Wicani (daughter of Karava Blue Kasparov at Wicani and Westoak Satin Dancer) she was a well constructed gloriously coloured bitch with plenty of substance but not exactly a born showgirl. However on one of the very few occasions she graced the show ring, she qualified for Crufts with second in a large post graduate class at Richmond 2000, in fact she was placed at most shows attended. She carried a combination of Karava and Mybern bloodlines and mated to Wicani Alfa Romay’o produced Gemheid Roses and Wribbons (Bridget). |

Although
Bridget had inherited her mother’s dislike of showing, she won
several Best Puppy in Breed awards; and after careful thought she was
twice mated to her half brother Wicani Formula One. From the first litter
we kept Gemheid Tiger Ice (Leo) who won well at Open shows and qualified
for Crufts on one of his rare Champ show appearances. He is a good sized
male, a superb mover and a glorious colour. From the repeat litter we kept our lovely BOB winning blue girl Gemheid Full of Grace. Gracie was Best Puppy in Breed at Edwinstowe under Goff Ridley and finished Puppy group 3. After several more good wins; she emerged in adult coat to take Best of Breed at the same show a year later. |

It is hoped that Gracie will
be campaigned more vigorously in 2007 along with her young tricolour
daughter by Wicani Whats New Pussy Cat. I prefer the classic type of Collie with elegance of construction and clean refined head pattern, movement is very important in my opinion. We are a small kennel and our Collies are kept as part of the family, we breed selectively when wishing to extend our own show team. At the moment we are confined to Blue merle and tricolour. |

GEMHEID SEABREEZE Introducing my new baby. Breeze has just started her show career in Minor Puppy taking 1st MPB at Midland Collie Open Show under Mr K Macgregor [Norsedene] and also being placed at Collie Association Championship show + LKA in large classes. Breeze has fabulous conformation, a jet black coat and is a pleasure to watch on the move. She has a happy out-going temperament, as all my dogs do. She is just a dream to live with. |

Jacob is from our first sable litter in 13 years.
We think he is gorgeous, he has a fabulous temperament. He has tremendous bone and substance and superb angulation.
He is 7 and half months old on the photo.
At Manchester his first and only show so far, at just 6 months he went 1st in Puppy Dog.
