Astrellita Cherry Blossom Res. CC owned by Lisa Pettit and Astrellita Apple Blossom Res. C.C owned by Jean Jones and Astrellita Amy 1C.C owned by Carol Ferguson, but we had always wanted a Smooth Collie and in 1976 Dancerwood Dellaware came to live at Astrellita.

..... A beautiful sable and white bitch who I adored, she had the most superb head qualities and her expression was faultless, the breeder of Della was Judith White and it was due to Judith having to go into hospital that we were asked to rear her litter of puppies, the litter became a famous one as it contained our own Champion Dancerwood Bewitched of Astrellita, Ch. Dancerwood Crown Jewel [owned by R.Baker] and Show. Ch. Dancerwood Court Jester who before leaving for Sweden sired our own Ch. Astrellita The Silversmith BOB Crufts and Top Smooth Collie in 1983 AND Smooth of the year [when he was 11 years old in 1989].

 Jester was mated to Della and this produced Astrellita Love Affair who went to the Foxearth Kennels of Trevor and Birgit Hayward, who mated her to Ch Chicnoir Midnight Sultan to produce Ch. Foxearth Gold Fever, Gold Fever mated to Ch. Sylbecq Fleur De Lyse [daughter of Crown Jewel] produced Ch. Sylbecq Draught Guiness at Foxearth on e of this countries top sires. A repeat mating of Della and Jester produced Ch. Astrellita the Gunslinger who went to the Newarp kennel of Pat Lister.

 Famed for her lovely blue merles, Gunslinger mated to Pat's Jzero Moondust of Newarp produced Ch. Newarp Silver Moonlight a prolific bitch who produced 7 Champions in two litters. Among them the superb blue bitch Newarp Silver Moonbeam. Gunslinger was also the sire of Astrellita the Saddletramp who when mated to Moonbeam produced Newarp Cat Dancing at Dakotah, who produced the breed record winner Ch. Sharidon Silver Phantom at Foxearth. So from helping to rear Judith's puppies came so much good, and what a start for us at Astrelitta.

 Ch. Bewitched produced Ch. Blue Movie at Glenmist who in turn produced 5 Champions. Bewitched also gave us Ch. A. Moonstone a super cattle worker, she was also Dam of Aust. & Eng. Ch. Astrellita Midnight Dynamo. Ch. Astrellita Silversmith mated to Ch, Astrellita Adele produced 3 Champions in one litter namely Ch. Astrellita Astrid at Aberhill, Int. Ch. Astrellita Accomplice and Int. Ch. A. Blue Serena. Ch. Blue Movie's full brother was Int. Ch. Astrellita Blue Macho who worked cattle in the high meadows of Switzerland along with Accomplice in between going to shows at the weekends. Macho won the veteran class at the World Show held in Switzerland.

 We are proud of our contribution to the world of smooth collies, we always breed with the Standard in mind and strive only to produce healthy collies who have that lovely elegance we all like to see, but added to this we still retain the working ability that is so important in our breed. [Photo Pro Dog] Our new youngsters at the few shows we have attended have started out well, with young Astrellita Bedazzled qualified for Crufts at her first show and winning Junior Bitch at the West of England Collie Club, and young Al Pacino 1CC & 2 Res. CC's and our lovely Ch. Astrid taking the Res. CC at the West of ENGLAND Collie at the age of 11 years, which shows we must be doing something right.

We are here to provide advice and are happy to do so for anyone interested in the breed.We never charge high prices, the homes where our puppies go are of more importance. Our dogs live as family and sometimes we have to part with a nice youngster who shows some promise,
