My first memories of the Rough Collie breed stem from my childhood. My Father was an avid fan of the breed and I vividly remember his first litter. "Lassie" had her pups in the whelping shed and once they were of age I remember them venturing out into the garden and my father had to pick my up as they were nipping at my heels. I must have been about 3 years old. The puppy which the family kept from that litter was "Shep" and she was my constant childhood companion until I lost her aged 13.

My love of the breed has developed from that time and once I was married with a family of my own we decided that we wanted to add a Collie to our home. Shortly after our search began, my father was contacted about a 10 month old dog that needed re-homing. We decided that of course we would rescue "Brandy" and so he came to live with us until we lost him aged 7. This led us to the passion of rehoming rescue dogs and we did so until the family had grown and left home.

After we lost our last rescue dog aged 13, I decided that I wanted to return to the pedigree Rough Collie and I also found that I was drawn to the dog show world. Of my current Rough Collie family, my grown children purchased the first "Rani" [Balami Blue Diana of Trenic] as my first show dog, unfortunately Rani didn't see it that way as she really didn't take to the ring" She is now retired and is a well loved family per who is matriarch of the rest of our pack. As I had now experienced a taste of the show world I was keen to carry on. My husband kindly purchased "Seeta" [Our Indian Princess of Trenic], I could see a pattern forming as again Seeta wasn't keen on showing, so became another well loved pet.

I was desperate to home my first show dog and so "Sona" [Sachenda She's a Star of Trenic] arrived. A true show bitch, she qualified for Crufts 2006 and seemed to really enjoy the show ring, she taught me so much about this world and we were over the moon with her progress. Well it wasn't to be again as we lost her in tragic circumstances aged 10 months. She suffered a fit that the vet just couldn't bring her round from, her internal organs began to fail and the end was inevitable.

Sona, forever in our heart she is truly missed

Here we go again I thought, but after time to get over our loss we homed "Sitara"
[Redola Sun Lover of Trenic]
again another quality show bitch who thankfully has taken to the ring with gusto.

Her winnings have included 3 x BP and her placings at Open shows have nearly always been in the cards.
We are pleased with her development.

Sachenda She's An Angel of Trenic [Asha]

One year old Asha all grown up and she is doing well in the ring.
She qualified for Crufts on her first champ show at Richmond.

This is our first litter from Sire Samhaven Selected For Trenley and Dam Redola Sun Lover Of Trenic. They are six weeks old and letting us know they are here. We are keeping a bitch from this litter.

TRENIC INDIAN JEWEL [Bachi]

This is the puppy we have kept from our litter of four. She is turning out to be quite a show off so we have high hopes of her in the show ring. She will be joining Asha in March this year (2008).
