I have always lived and loved dogs. As a child my parents had Horses and Dogs, breeding Cocker Spaniels on a hobby basis under the Affix of Swanmount.
My interest in Showing dogs came much later, starting with showing Shih Tzu, of which I was reasonably successful showing and successfully bred 4 healthy litters, successfully raising all the pups even when one bitch produced 7 puppies, a large litter for Shih Tzu!

My son, Michael, became interested in showing when he was 6 years old and was successful in Junior Handling, culminating in winning Southern Junior Handler of the Year and qualifing for Richmond every year.
I have always loved and admired the regal dignity of the Rough Collie, back to childhood again and like most people, those Lassie films!
In 1999 I bought my first Rough Collie from Lisa & Peter Burtenshaw of the famous Pelido Kennels, this was Pelido Affair to Remember at Shandlmain, (Ch. Pelido Italian Affair x Pelido Honey Dreams) more affectionately known as 'Taylor'. Taylor did me extremely proud, qualifying for Crufts at his very first show by winning his class. Taylor carried on his winning ways and was invited to East Anglian Collie Association Pup of the Year Competition.

In 2002 I purchased Strawberry Kisses from Shandlmain (Amalie Mild Affair x Rossavon Dark n Delicious) who has had a fabulous Show Career to date, qualifying for Crufts at the tender age of 6 months old at her very first show. 'Suki' has won many awards, from Best Puppy in Breed, being placed in Puppy Group, Best Bitch, Best of Breed at both General Open shows (with Group placing) and Collie Club shows, Reserve Best Bitch in Show and Reserve Best in Show at Collie Club Shows. Suki gained her Stud Book Number at East Anglian Collie Association Championship show in 2006, therefore qualifying her for life at Crufts. In 2005 Suki gave birth to a beautiful litter of 7 healthy puppies out of Ch. Brooklynson from Rio. The three bitches produced in the litter are all being shown successfully and have all qualified for Crufts 2007.

Shandlmain Stolen Kisses (Ch. Brooklynson from Rio x Strawberry Kisses from Shandlmain) started her show career well, winning maiden bitch, best puppy bitch and reserve best puppy in Show at Northumberland & Durham Collie Club open show at 6 months old, her very first show. 'Milly' went on to qualify for Crufts 2007 winning puppy bitch at Northumberland & Durham Collie Club Championship show, but unfortunately was spooked in the ring and for a while became ring shy. Milly seems to have now recovered, or hopefully forgotten this incident and will be shown again in 2008. Although Milly will be entered for Crufts 2007 she may not be able to attend, hopefully she will be on maternity leave.

I was on the committee of Poole Canine Club when I lived in Dorset and have stewarded at open shows and at Bournemouth Championship show. I am currently on the West of England judging 'C' List and have also judged Junior/Adult Handling classes.
I am now on East Anglian Collie Association C List.
I breed only occassionally striving for quality Rough Collies and will hopefully successfully mate Strawberry Kisses from Shandlmain later in 2007.
Quality puppies are occassionally for sale to approved loving homes. All puppies are raised in the home in a family environment and are eye tested, wormed regularly and vet checked before leaving for new homes with contract and puppy packs.
