With always having a dog in the family it was no surprise after we married in 1978 that we purchased our own dog. We saw Rough Collies advertised for sale from people who had been our long life friends, namely Charles and Janette Phillips of the Philjanco affix, and thus we aquired our first puppy, Star.A few months went by and we decided to purchase another puppy, Lady. We got involved in showing and a year later we purchased a puppy from the Sandiacre Kennel, called Senga.We applied for our own affix Starlenga, which is made up from our first three collies, Star, Lady and Senga. Ever since the early days we have always kept our lines to Arranbrook, Brettonpark, Camanna and Emryks.Over the years we have been quite successful showing and have been the Winners of the Kennel of the Year Joint Competition, held by Scottish and Ayrshire Collie Clubs.

Peaches was shown by our daughter Louise as a puppy and she won very well.
However she has not shown the same eagerness to show after her maternal duties.
Hopefully she will return to the ring later in 2007.
