I have been showing since 1988 and from being a total novice "Shadow" and I learnt the show ropes together. I enjoy showing win or lose..you still take the best dog home. All my dogs are first and foremost house dogs, show dogs second. They are also great company to my 39 year old disabled brother, Gerald who lives at home with all the family.

We have an assortment of pets plus of course our 4 dogs, Barron, Holly, Heather and Skye.

My first Rough Collie was
Sassari Danny Boy [Shadow]

Shadow did very well at all his shows winning 1st to 4th at all the Irish Shows he was shown at. To this day I have all Shadow's rosettes. He was shown until he was 12 when a nasty accident cut short his show days. He was retired and sadly died at 14 & a half years , in his sleep.

In April 1997 came
Sassari Spring Lord [Born 2/97].
[Sire: Delbar Drillmaster. Dam: Darahill Love in Spring to Sassari]

Barron qualified first time out under Brenda Banbury at L & P Champ show Nov '97.
At the age of 16 months he was attacked in the ring by a Boxer and never liked the showring again. He was retired at 2 years and is now a home boy enjoying his comfort on the settee. celebrates 10th birthday 18th feb.

February 2002 came
Alanita Lavendar Heather.
[Born 10/01].
[Sire: Brentone Moodyblue of Alanita. Dam: Alanita Rufty Tufty Rose]



Breeder Anita Franks...Skye qualified for Crufts 3 times. She is not a great lover of the show ring but has won well for me. She is semi retired as she is a very active dog and it is hard to keep her correct weight.

She is a clear silvery blue colour and has had some lovely write ups that I am very proud of.
