I always had a passion for dogs and as a young child my parents were always against it and didn't want a dog in the house. When I was 16 I got a job and saved up the money to buy my own dog. I was in the dog house when I arrived home with this little bundle of fluff but they soon got used to her and accepted the fact that we now had a dog. I bought her from a pet shop and she wasn't in the best of health , after plenty of T.L.C. she came on fine and we loved her to bits. Not the best specimen around but gave me years of fun. After learning more about the breed I decided to mate Sheba, found a fairly nice and well bred dog and she had 5 pups out of which I kept Sherrie , she turned out to be quite nice and I showed her occasionally. At this point I had a real interest in the breed and it all went on from there. Over all the years I still have the liking for the old fashioned type. When new trends came out and the smaller fluffier type cAme in I stayed with what I liked, the larger and well constructed dog with a coat to fit the body and still aim to produce that type today.

We got into the shelties quite by accident not ever meaning to get so involved with them but my daughter 8 years old at the time wanted a smaller dog because the roughs were to big for her so we bought Milly for her whom she showed as a youngster and done extremely well with and like with the collies we got very involved with the breed and the sheltie club. Now we wouldn,t be without them.
