Cassindilly Farm is the home of Louanja Rough Collies, an affix that is made up from my name Louise and my husband James. In between farming, competing in equestrian events and looking after our sons Logan and Lewis, how on earth do I find the time to show our Rough Collies???

Our young sons, Logan and Lewis.

My love of Rough Collies started at a very early age, we have had rough collies in my family since I was 4 years old. My Mum and Dad's first Rough Collie "Kim" was a tri colour dog bred along Naragansette lines who lived to the grand old age of 15, then they bought a sable and white bitch, "Kassi", who is bred along Meranne lines, who my Mum and Dad still have.

I became interested in showing and was introduced to Dave and Edith Thomson of the Lomondvale Kennel where the showing bug really came into force when I started showing their well-known sable & white dog "Lomondvale Laphroig" aka Buzz [Sire: Ch Alwaycon Bashful Bouncer: Dam: Steelhurst Star Appeal at Lomondvale].
It was in September 2001 that I had my own puppy bitch at home, she is "Lomondvale Summer Dream at Louanja" aka Keira, born 27.07.01. Sire: Kesbury Quo Vadis - Dam: Lomondvale Golden Countess.

Lomondvale Summer Dream at Louanja

In February 2005, Keira had her first litter of puppies [also my first home bred litter], she was mated to the Gardner's Roy Bean Du Clos Des Duchesses at Steelhurst [Imp] and produced 8 beautiful puppies. Our of this I kept Louanja Spirit of Darkenness [Sasha] she was the only tri colour in the litter and one whom has never looked back in the show ring with her superb temperament and outgoing personality, she is exactly what I have been looking for.

I have also kept Louanja Spirit of Secrets "Rory"

He has a fantastic temperament and he just loves everybody!!

Robbie has fitted in well here with the rest of the gang and loves his new playmates. I hope to have him in the ring in October 2006.
