She is a hugely extrovert character with a great sense of fun and being in the middle of whatever is going on.

INGLEDENE HISTORY AND WONDERFUL MEMORIES

Our first bitch was purchased in 1967 , her name was Braidule Golden Tania and although she did not figure much in the show ring , she was the one responsible for getting us started in breeding and showing these beautiful dogs. From her first litter we kept a bitch puppy Ingledene Lady Pippin, responsible for getting us totally hooked on showing , she was much better than her dam as far as the judges were concerned and gained some super wins. When she came of age she was mated and again we kept a bitch puppy from the litter Ingledene Gypsy Girl. Although these three Collies do not figure in our present day lines they remain very special and paved the way our future life around Collies was to develop.

 

In 1972 we purchased a young tricolour bitch Leawyn Annabelle Of Ingledene and from her our line of to-day has developed. Mated to Irish Champion Pattingham Paymaster she produced Ingledene Black Rose and later , mated again to a Pattingham male which we owned , she produced two notable tricolour daughters Ingledene Black Sequin and Ingledene Black Silk.

Ch Ingledene Blue Rain

To - day , our hugely successful bitch line can be followed back to Sequin and Rose produced a Champion daughter in Ingledene Blue Rain. Silk gained fame by producing an outstanding litter to our blue merle Smooth male Jalonda's Bryony Of Ingledene. From this we kept a tricolour SMOOTH male who became Champion Ingledene Inca. He produced two Champions in one litter , namely Ch's. Peterblue Rover and P. Robyn and through these his line can be traced in many top winning European smooths.


In 1980 we moved from Ireland to Wales and our next Champion came in 1985. This time a Rough, sable and white bitch, Ingledene Summer Love.She gained her title in less than three months

Five years went by and in 1990 Ingledene First Love gained her title finishing the year in style as Top Collie.

In 1991 First Love challenged in the Champion Stakes at Bath and not only did she win Working Day but returned on the final day to be declared the overall winner. I think we would have to rate her the most highly because of her consistency to shine through in both breed and variety competition. Oddly enough another five years pass by before we claim another champion again a sable & white bitch, Ingledene Cherish The Love.

Waiting in the wings was our young daughter from Ch I. Cherish the Love. Always a consistent winner this bitch was to prove herself with maturity and has placed this outstanding family firmly in the record books. She is Ch. Ingledene Penny Lover[Chelsea]. Chelsea had become our fourth consequtive generation, home-bred bitch champion setting a new breed record.

"Chato" was a true Collie gentleman. . He is the sire of Crufts '97 BOB and has a good number of Champion and top winning stock across Europe where he spent 2 years and gained his International Title along the way.
Other Champions jointly bred but not owned by us include Ch.Ria'ly Famous at Bhyllsacre owned by Mrs Cozens, and his litter sister Ch. Wannabe Ria'ly Loved at Ingledene a joining which proved most successful, their dam being a sister to Champion Ingledene Power of Love. The only other sister in this litter is Ingledene Shadows of Love who is the dam of Europe's 2000 Worlds CACIB winner Ingledene Dark Shadow. In Finland we have Swedish/Danish Ch Ingledene Dream Lover, sister to Ch I. Penny Lover. There is Australian Champion I. Look of Love and the Russian Champion's I. Love Thoughts and I. Happi in Love.

Another son of Ch. I First Love who is proving a valuable stud is I. Love is the Drug JW, and 5 RCC's sired by I. Slave to Love.

Our policy is to breed from sound , healthy stock with good temperaments. . We produce on average only one or two litters per year and keep a relatively small home kennel and feel justly satisfied with the successes our dogs' have gained both here at home and in other countries around the world.
