In April
2005 I went to help out at Brian & Sue Hawkins [Brilyn] Kennels
and Cattery, and was asked if I'd like to socialise a 4 month old
tri dog called Ben [Brilyn Back in Black] as they seemed to think
he would benefit from being in a mad house!!
At six
months I was encouraged to enter him at an Open Show and thats when
I got the bug. I had lots of fun with him and started to meet and
make new friends in the collie world.

After
Ben came Honey [Brilyn Shaded Secret] whose only pleasure is to be
as big a part of our family as she can, she just craves attention.
She's not too keen on showing so I have retired her, in the hope she'll
be a "yummy mummy".

Ben
went to live with Bill and Louise Cutlet in Portmadog, so it was time
for me to restock.
Along
came Indie, [Brilyn Sing A Rainbow] and Brie [Brilyn Moonlight].
They did quite a lot of Open Shows in and around our area and in October
2006 Indie had a litter of 7 puppies to Ross [Bluchip Spirit in the
Skye].

Sing A Rainbow and Brilyn Moonlight.
Out of
the litter we kept Willow, Elshajo Treasured Memories,
she is the first to have my affix which is made up of my childrens
names, Eleri, Shaun and Jodi.
Two of
the above dogs have now gone to pet homes and are enjoying family
life, Brilyn Moonlight and Elshajo Treasured Memories. So I have decided
to update a few things.
I wish to say a big thank you to Sue Hawkins as she has let me have
Brilyn Finesse [Cassie] who is a joy to have, full of fun!!
Cassie
has produced a litter in July to Brilyn Secret Weapon from which I
have kept a sable and white bitch puppy,
"Cher" who I look forward to bring out in 2009.[Photo to

Indie
is just coming back to showing after having a litter in February
to Ch. Birkmyre The Advocate.
Thanks to Bob and Naomi MacDowall for letting me use "Buddy"
and their hospitality, advice and help.

Armani Moon [Armani]
I
have kept a tricolour dog Elshajo Armani Moon.
Amani is a lovely lad to have around. He's his mum's "blue
eyed boy". He has started his showing career and has
done very well so far and I look forward to 2009 and having
fun with him.

2010 has seen the arrival of my new girl,Asher,
Brilyn Makes the Difference
I've always liked her and now thanks to Sue Hawkins (Brilyn)
she has come to live here and has settled in really well.
I look forward to showing her,but foremost, she is a pleasure
to have around, always wanting to play, and she keeps the others
on their toes, there is never a dull moment with Asher about. |
