Like all
children I saw the "Lassie " film, was hooked and loved them
ever since. I bought my first Rough Collie bitch from Mr Greener, a
tri-colour in 1970. I didn't get into the showing side until 1987 when
I had a sable and white bitch from Maud and Alan Mather. She was lovely.
Then came "Westoak Love Bug". She did a lot of winning, gaining
her Stud Book along the way.
Then my
two girls, Joanne and Emma got into ring craft classes and turned their
hands to showing every kind of breed. It is good to have a back up when
my back starts playing up. Its been a hard road since loosing my husband,
Louie in 1994, but so glad I stuck with the Roughs and my Sheltie, which
I bought for my husband when he was poorly trying to give him the courage
to fight on. She was put to sleep in August 2005 aged 13 with cancer.
I have
owned and bred several dogs and bitches with Stud Book Numbers and RCC's.
My other
outstanding bitch is "Lymead Simply Saucy for Corisian" [Molly]
winning the Res Bitch Challenge Certificate, BPB & BPIB at Border
Union Championship show at 9 months of age at her first class in puppy
bitch, under judge Mr B McDonald. She has so many admirers at home and
abroad. I have only bred 6 litters of Roughs and 3 litters of Shelties
over the years. I can't wait to have a litter from my Molly. Molly is
by "Ch Lynmead Lust in the Dust x Ch Lynmead Simply Charming. She
is coming back into coat after dropping it at 12 months of age.

Celtic Connection with Corisian
"Sparkling
star of the show, the ultimate in femininity with the sweetest
of expressions that could melt the hardest of hearts. Head of
lovely planes with well chiselled foreface and good underjaw.
Ears always right on top of her head. Well arched neck and correct
shoulders. Good spring and depth of ribs with level topline.
Profuse well groomed coat that completed the picture as she
stood four square. Moved soundly front and rear. Delighted to
award her CC and BIS. Will surely finish in the upper house
before long".
"Keevie"
had a lovely day many thanks to Mrs Gwen Hartley [Roanburn]
when she awarded her the RCC at Midland Counties.
