Like many other people my first Rough Collie was a pet. She was a 4 year old tri colour bitch and she soon made herself at home with us. Shortly after having her I went along to an Open show, just to watch, but I soon got the bug to have a puppy myself and have a try at showing. This is when I went to see Margaret & David Ruston of Rusforth Collies. They had a lovely sable and white bitch called Amber, [Rusforth Intermezzo at Avisette] whom I loved at first sight. She came home with us at 14 weeks old and soon became part of the family and got on well with our pet Collie.I started training classes and at her first Open show at 7 months old she was awarded 1st in Puppy and Best of Breed. From this she went on to win at more Open shows and qualified for Crufts at all her Championship shows entered. She gained her stud book number in May 2002 and then in May 2004 got her first Reserve Challenge Certificate. At Crufts 2006 Amber gained a 2nd in Veteran Bitch in a good class. Continuing on with her success Amber was placed Reserve in Veteran Bitch at Crufts 2007.......

Amber had a litter in July 2001 and from this I kept a sable & white puppy bitch, Avisette Them for a Dream [Amy]. Amy has been shown at both Open and Championship shows and is still making herself seen in the ring but over the last year [2005] she has had to take a back seat for some of the time to make way for my new tri-colour bitch.

Amy's litter sister, Avisette Dreamin of Crackenedge [Lucy] now living with Pauline & George Hutchinson [Robroz Collies] has done well in the ring gaining her Stud Book Number.

My latest addition to our little band has been Dazzle, Danfrebek Diamond Dazzleme for Avisette. She was bred by Fran Kaye of the Danfrebek Kennel and she came to us at 8 weeks of age and really settled in well with our other dogs and made herself at home. After training classes we took Dazzle to her first Open show when she was 7 months old and was awarded 1st in Puppy and also Best of Breed. She has qualified for Crufts at all her Championship Shows. She has been growing a new coat and will be back out in the ring for 2006. We hope to have a litter from her in 2006 to continue the Avisette line.

At Crufts 2006 she gained a VHC in Special Junior Bitch.
At the Northumberland & Durham Open show, Sunday 16th October '06, Dazzle won Post Graduate Bitch and then was awarded Reserve Best Bitch.
