Troumerle has been breeding Border Collies both to show and to enjoy since 1987... Troumerle started as a little girls dream. A little girl, called Jackie, who wanted nothing more in the world than her own Border Collie. She had been reading Enid Blyton's "Shadow the Sheep Dog" and knew that a Border Collie was for her. Many years and a Border Terrier, two cats, a Golden Retriever and Shadow the German Shepherd dog later she finally got her dream. She got her first Border Collie, Misty, who for 15 and a half years became her best friend and constant companion as well as her guardian. Jephanil Puzzler of Troumerle
Unlike expectations, Misty was not a traditional balck and white Border Collie. While Jackie was searching for her dream, she discovered that Border Collies come in colours as well as black and white. And so she came to have this exceptional blue merle called Misty... Ghostland Blue Fleck at Troumerle..
Sherry [Passims Onyx] and Jaff [Ghostland Jaff at Troumerle] quickly followed Misty. This is where Jackie began to breed to produce her lovely line of dogs that, not only have the most wonderful temperaments, but have also been very successful in the show ring over the years. Troumerle's breeding programme has succeeded in producing dogs with excellent temperaments, as well as, leading to success in the show ring. Troumerle Rainbow JW achieved Best Puppy in Breed at Crufts 2006 and was awarded her first Challenge Certificate in December 2006. Troumerle Rainbow JW
Puppies are available for sale occasionally. Troumerle breed once or twice a year, concentrating on producing puppies with good conformation, excellent movement and, above all, lovely temperaments. To get a Troumerle puppy you need to make contact with Jackie by telephone or email. Jackie will ask you lots of questions so that she can advise you if a Border Collie and, specifically a Troumerle Border Collie, is suitable for you. If Jackie feels that you may be suited to one of our dogs, we will expect you to visit; bringing anyone else from your household that will interact with the dog. You will meet all the Troumerle dogs that live with us and will have the opportunity to ask questions yourself. We breed friendly, outgoing puppies with gentle natures and like to be sure that we have homed them with someone who will give them love and train them with kindness and understanding. All puppies are Kennel Club registered and we abide by Kennel Club best practice guidelines for breeders. Weh a puppy leaves
us at 8 weeks old to go to his new home, he leaves with an information
pack that has advice on how to raise the puppy and keep him healthy.
He will have his Kennel Club Registration Document and enough food
for 2 weeks. The relationship does not, however, end there. We provide
advice to owners throughout the dogs life if required. Our puppies
are sold subject to an agreement that formalises the breeder.owner
