William is the first home-bred puppy ever to have been bred by us in all the years of owning this fabulous bred. We own both the sire and the dam. This litter was born on the 6th Steptember 1999 and I was so delighted with them, we kept them all! He has achieved more awards around the shows than I could ever have dreamed of. My ambition was to qualify him for Crufts, not only did he do that, but he won first in Minor Puppy Dogs at WELKS Championship show at 7 months old under Miss Lyn Vidak. He continued his winning ways and was only one win away from his Junior Warrant, but the outbreak of foot and mouth disease put a stop to that as most shows were cancelled.

My next goal was to aim for a Stud Book Number [not easy with the high number of entries in our breed]. We took nim to Southern Counties Championship Show when he was only 20 months old. I took a gamble and entered him in Limit Dog and Open Dog. He won Limit Class and came second in Open. And then we were called back to the ring to challenge for the Reserve Challenge Certificate. And got it. Sincere thanks to Mrs Liz Cartledge [Judge]. William has continued to fulfill our dreams and currently has to his credit:
Reserve Challenge Certificate, Show Certificate of Merit, 3 Reserve Best in Show Awards, 2 Best Puppy in Show, numerous Group 1 awards, plus group placings and now over 100 Best of Breeds......

He has also won the Shetland Sheepdog Club of Wales Annual Points Trophy for four years.

In 2003, he was also the first Sheltie EVER to gain the Kennel Clubs Show Certificate of Merit [and in only 5 months].

In addition to being the most wonderful show dog, he is my best friend and companion.
