Having sold our two previous houses via the internet we thought that we might offer this service to our viewers as if for no other reason it would be cheaper than the current 1 to 2% fee charged by estate agents [sorry if any of you are estate agents!] and we have a ready made audience of doggy people. Houses which are dog friendly are very difficult to find, finding somewhere with enough land, preferably no complaining neighbours who as we found in the Midlands object sometimes even to the odd bark and even being unable to play with the dogs. This was becoming a nightmare which just spoilt all the fun of having dogs. It was difficult to know where to look for suitable properties at a reasonable cost. There are those type of properties out there but the cost is sometimes very expensive. Estate agents do not seem to understand the requirements of doggy people = for instance you ask for properties with no near neighbours and they send you properties in a row or in a village.......... then your valuation - this usally does not take account of the set up for dogs merely the house as it stands. Even if you have a set up for dogs and request that your property is marketed accordingly we found they still are likely to send people to view the property with no dogs or one dog - Not ideal when there is a block of kennels.
