‘COMMAND PERFORMANCE’ BY ONE WOMAN AND HER DOGS '

The beginning:

Ceri Rundle’s involvement with dogs started at an early age, when helping her father (International Supreme Champion, Glyn Jones) with his working sheepdogs at the family farm, idyllically set in the picturesque hills of Denbighshire.

The childhood obsession grew and Ceri went on to breed, train and successfully compete with her now world-famous line of ‘Moel’ Border Collies.

In fact Ceri was the first ever woman to compete in the compulsively viewed BBC 2 TV series, ‘One Man and His Dog’.

The big decision:

Over the years Ceri and Glyn sought to feed affordable, top quality dog food but were always disappointed – finding ‘less expensive’ brands were false economy and that the dogs lost condition, lacked stamina and generated lots of waste, whilst the ‘premium’ brands were too costly in outlay.

This eventually led Ceri to a life-changing decision: to develop her own range of dog foods – CSJ.

She chose expert vets and the UK’s leading nutritionist for all working dogs, and gave them the challenging brief to develop a full range of appetising diets for dogs of all ages, which had top quality ingredients - yet was reasonably priced.

The result:

The result was the CSJ range, including Herbie Rings, That’ll Do and Rocket Fuel, which quickly gathered a dedicated following amongst agility, flyball, show, gundog, sled and sheepdog owners, all appreciative of Ceri’s ‘competitive price without compromise on quality’ policy.

Continued……………

CSJ is now one of the fastest growing dog foods in the UK, with a network of knowledgeable suppliers who not only sell, but also genuinely use these products and are able to give solidly practical advice. Owners with problem dogs (for example with gluten allergy) or owners wanting GM free UK produced dog food will find CSJ exponents eager to share their experiences and knowledge.

There’s also a fun and informative website at www.csjk9.com where visitors can see photos and read all about Ceri’s dogs, plus read training and news articles as well as see full details about the food range and read about its many ‘CSJ Champion users’ (including Sled Dogs, Agility Dogs, Gundogs, Working Sheepdogs, Flyball Dogs and Show Dogs).

The story doesn’t end there though ……………………

Now on stage:

Through Ceri’s understanding of the health-related properties of herbs, and feedback on the problems of dog owners visiting her website, work began with the country’s top herbalists, and the resulting herbal preparations Calm Down! Get Over! a Come On! – all, like the food, very descriptively named – were introduced.

Now, ten years on from it’s beginnings, CSJ have further herbal products to help dogs suffering from problems such as excessive sexual drive (Down Boy!) digestive problems, epilepsy, cystitis or urine crystals and muscle cramps, plus the ‘ultimate food for hard working dogs’ - Command Performance.

Packed with features such as only natural ingredients (with no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives) and the inclusion of beneficial herbs, especially absorbent minerals and antioxidant vitamins to support the immune system, this new lamb-based range is hypo-allergenic and, amongst a myriad of benefits, promotes a healthy digestive system, flexible joints and reduced faecal odour and volume.

For Ceri Rundle the road has been long - from working sheepdogs in the Welsh hills to holding training clinics, undertaking international judging appointments and to Command Performance – but as Ceri says “It has always been about dogs, dogs and more about dogs”.
